The challenge
The Pirin Ultra is a 160km single-stage mountain race through Bulgaria's Pirin National Park -sustained alpine ridgelines, technical terrain, and exposed high-altitude passes. Over 13,000m of total ascent: more than climbing Everest from sea level and continuing for another 4,000m.
Runners move through the night, self-manage nutrition across remote sections, and sustain pace across 30+ hours of continuous movement. No crew support on the ridgeline. When conditions deteriorate at altitude, decision-making matters as much as fitness.
Why your donation matters
Most people will never put themselves through something like this -and that's exactly why I'm doing it.
This is the hardest thing I've committed to -physically and mentally. I've spent years building a background in endurance, and the Pirin Ultra is the natural extension of that: a serious, multi-year target that demands everything.
Research into EDS remains underfunded despite affecting millions. Cancer research continues to rely on sustained funding to push breakthroughs forward. Your support directly contributes to both.
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Inherited connective tissue disorders causing chronic pain and fatigue. Widely underdiagnosed. Funding supports diagnostics, treatment, and quality of life.
Cancer Research
Nearly 10 million deaths each year. Funding supports early detection, novel therapies, and clinical trials.
